Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi's agent claims he is hoping to return to Italy at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old Italy international started his career in the youth ranks at Parma before moving on to Manchester United and then the Yellow Submarine in 2007.
However, Rossi is ready to return to Serie A this summer after growing frustrated with life at the struggling El Madrigal outfit this season.
Juventus, AS Roma and Russian champions Rubin Kazan have all be mentioned as possible destinations.
"After the last summer, Juventus no longer contacted us," explained agent Andrea Pastorello.
"I think he will remain with Villarreal for now. There have been some important requests for him from (former Roma coach) Luciano Spalletti, as well as from Rubin, but we continue to turn them down.
"Rossi prefers the classic European leagues and he wants to return to Italy in June."
